Here’s a tip to manage all the emails you will be sending and receiving related to the college search process: Before you begin the process of communicating with schools you are interested in attending, consider creating an email address specifically for your college-related communications.
You can use the new email to sign up for information about college, as well as making it your username on your applications—that way, you keep your college mail separate from all the junk you get from all the marketers from Amazon to Zales. You can also easily update your present email to the new one on your CollegeBoard or ACT account if you wish to. Note: This is how colleges will communicate with you, so be sure to choose an appropriate-sounding user name—and remember to check this in-box regularly!
