I’m doing their Fall Semester Away program and I’m technically a winter start student. I wanted to thank you so much for all the help you gave me. I really couldn’t have done it without you. I’m beyond excited after realizing that it’s the type of school I would thrive best at.”
“Hi Marcia, As I get ready to head up to BU my thoughts go back 4 years! “1% chance of getting accepted”! Now she is graduating with a very high GPA in Communications and Fine Arts. I can only thank you with all my heart because this would not have happened without you at that time in our lives. Emily had just lost her father. We needed you and you were there! Emily hopes to follow in her dad’s footsteps and go into the textile industry. Hoping you and your family are well.” B.L.

There are so many things that need to be considered when engaged in the process of applying for College. There are both financial and personal variables that make each individual candidate unique. Her intuitiveness allowed us to consider higher learning options we may have otherwise been unaware of. Thank you Marcia for being an instrumental part of a life-impacting journey!” — O.M.

“Marcia is an expert in the educational consulting field. Her wealth of knowledge regarding hundreds of colleges across the country is invaluable and makes the entire college application process less daunting. Using a holistic approach in assessing each student individually, she is able to successfully recommend the best-fit college for each and every student. I can wholeheartedly say I trust her 100% because her very first suggestion turned out to be the college our daughter will be attending in the fall…and she was right!!!” —SG
“Marcia was invaluable to us during the college process! After a friend recommended her, my son and I reached out to her and began consulting with her the fall of junior year. Our focus was on gaining admission to performing arts programs. These are very competitive programs requiring multiple essays and applications per school in addition to pre-screening work and auditions. A successful application demands organization, discipline, and focus.
“Marcia provided a truly personal approach by getting to know my son and streamlining this arduous process. From college boards to the college list, common app, essay writing, and senior course selection, she was always available to us.” —KE
“Her calm and focused manner allowed our son to take ownership of his applications. He worked with Marcia and her team on them for many months. I was confident that he was on task and getting things accomplished, which made our house a calmer place. No nagging from Mom!
In the end, he was accepted to his #1 school! We are proud of our son and so thankful to Marcia and her team for helping him achieve his goals.” —NV
“Thank you for helping me get into Ithaca. I know it’s been a long journey and you’ve stuck with me and supported me the whole time. I’ve been so nervous but with your help I got into my dream school with a scholarship! I can never thank you enough.” – AK
“Marcia worked with my son on all aspects of the college application process: identifying and narrowing the list of schools to consider, planning college visits, writing the various sections of the application, the final selection of schools to apply to, the decision on which offer to accept, and, finally, navigating the disability support services process for next year. Marcia’s services were outstanding from beginning to end.
First, Marcia has great integrity—she was hesitant to work with us because my son was at a small private boarding where free personalized services were available, so she told us to use the counselors at the school. Next, Marcia is a warm, dedicated, and lovely person, so both my son and I enjoyed communicating with her. More importantly, she knows her stuff! Not out of a book—she knows her stuff as it relates to the colleges and the application process. Marcia has that special something that enables her to really get to know your child and the ins and outs of each school. For our family, Marcia added value and insight that no other professional could have provided. I also appreciated her unusually fast response time. Finally, Marcia maximized my son’s admission chances with her advice on which schools to visit given the limited time we had, and about how to present his “mixed” record in certain sections of his application.
Marcia went far above and beyond what we expected. She is one of a kind. Truly exceptional!!” —CF
“Our son is graduating on June 10 after a great year. He turned a corner after a fraught, touch-and-go first year at his school, opened himself up to the experience, made good friends and built cherished relationships with teachers and staff.
We wanted to thank you for guiding us helping him get there. As those kids say, “it’s all good.” And we are grateful!” —GB
“Thank you for your hard work with our daughter. After last year, I was terrified this would be a horrible process—and I was not that optimistic that Rebecca would be happy with the results. Not only was it painless for me, but our daughter enjoyed working with you and is thrilled with the results. I cannot recommend your work highly enough to friends and neighbors.” —BF
“I have been thinking of you in the last couple of weeks.
Our son graduated from The University of Rochester on May 21st with a 3.68 grade point average.
Although we have had no serious worries about him since he began there, I felt it was bad luck to throw out anything having to do with colleges until he actually graduated. So, last week I gave away The Fiske Guide to Colleges, The Princeton Review, and How to Write a College Essay, as well as notes I had kept after talking to the dean at his first school. Reading those, I could feel my stomach do those same flips it did three years ago. God, what an awful feeling…like the car careening out of control and the brakes don’t work.
Later in the week I noticed my e-mail folder titled “college.” Your name popped up and immediately I remembered our first conversation, where you were so direct with me: “If he says he is drinking x amount, he is doing more.” This is something I know as a therapist who has worked with teens forever, but never hurts to hear—especially when it is about your own kid. I so connected with your frank and clear manner. It was what was needed, it is what I understand best and, I knew that Tim would find it grounding.
This is all to say, again, thank you so much. You scooped us up and told us it would be okay. We will always be grateful.”—LM
“Thank you for everything you have done for me for the past six months. You have been an incredible support system for me, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without your advice, care, generosity, and assistance.” —SM
